Kneeling down with my tripod I almost got more than I bargained for from a rogue wave, but the close call was worth it. Timing here was essential, in order to catch the remains of the previous wave moving back down the beach. In post-processing a single RAW file was processed twice, once for highlights and once for shadows. These two exposures were then combined in Photoshop.
